Day 1 : Fly to Honolulu
We are welcomed to the islands of Aloha with a traditional lei greeting before checking in to our Waikiki Beach hotel for a four-night stay.
Day 2 : Pearl Harbor
After a delicious included breakfast we tour the Honolulu area beginning with the most moving site on Oahu, Pearl Harbor National Memorial. At the visitor center, we view the galleries and exhibits that recall December 7, 1941, the day that catapulted the U.S. into World War II. A documentary film precedes our Navy launch out to the USS Arizona Memorial to observe the sunken battleship. Afterward, mingle with new friends over a Holiday Vacations Welcome Lunch in Honolulu. The afternoon brings us past the volcanic shaped Hawaiian State Capitol building and Iolani Palace, the only palace in the U.S. once inhabited by a reigning monarch. We then visit the Punchbowl, an extinct volcano and home of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. *Tickets to the USS Arizona Memorial are subject to availability through National Park Service and confirmed the day prior.
Day 3 : Oahu
Follow your own desires today. Perhaps return to see more of Iolani Palace or explore Diamond Head. Tonight’s dinner is included at the resort.
Day 4 : Polynesian Cultural Center
Enjoy a scenic drive along Oahu’s North Shore followed by a visit to the Polynesian Cultural Center where we have lunch and learn about the ancient cultures of six Pacific island nations.
Day 5 : Volcanoes National Park
This morning we fly to Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. We stop for a delicious lunch just outside Volcanoes National Park. Once inside the park, pause along the way to appreciate the dramatic overlooks and visitor center. The unique landscape of the park features volcanic craters, dried lava flows, and steam vents.
Day 6 : The Big Island
Breakfast is included this morning at our hotel. The Big Island is yours to explore today. Perhaps tour a coffee plantation, visit Historic Kailua Village or Kona’s Mokuaikaua Church, the oldest Christian church in Hawaii.
Day 7 : Waimea Canyon
Fly this morning to Kauai, known as the Garden Isle for its lush landscapes. Following an included lunch, we are invited to sample coffee at the Kauai Coffee Company’s Visitor Center, the country’s largest coffee grower. Next we're off to witness the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea Canyon. This vast gorge is a striking palette of red rock and emerald green vegetation.
Day 8 : Kauai
Kauai is the second-wettest place on Earth, resulting in lush rainforest, breathtaking scenery, and balmy breezes. Our included excursion features a visit to Smith’s Fern Grotto. This pleasant boat ride includes songs and stories of ancient Hawaii. A short stroll through the rainforest opens up to a lush fern grotto. Spend the rest of the day at leisure touring a botanical garden, flightseeing by helicopter, or relaxing by the pool at our resort hotel.
Day 9 : Maui
We fly to Maui today, nicknamed the Valley Isle for the valleys carved into its mountains. We enjoy lunch and explore the Maui Ocean Center for an up-close view of the marine life that calls Hawaii home. Meet some of the most notable visitors to these waters during the 3D Humpbacks of Hawaii experience. The rest of the day is yours at leisure.
Day 10 : The Valley Isle
Our oceanfront hotel is situated along a three-mile stretch of gorgeous sand that many consider among the world’s best beaches. We have the day to soak up the sun, play on a championship golf course, go on a snorkeling expedition, or travel the winding Road to Hana.
Day 11 : Traditional Luau
The morning and afternoon are yours for leisure, exploration, and adventure. Tonight, say farewell Hawaii-style at a traditional luau and Polynesian show. Enjoy tropical drinks and the exotic flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine. Our evening ends with music and dances of the South Pacific!
Day 12 : Aloha Hawaii
After a tranquil morning we depart the hotel for a Holiday Vacations Farewell Lunch with our new friends. Board a tram this afternoon for a guided tour to explore the Maui Tropical Plantation to discover more about the diverse fruits and plants that grow here. View bananas, papaya, macadamia nuts and taro as they grow, and witness a live coconut husking demonstration! Then we say aloha to Hawaii and travel to the airport for our overnight flight to the mainland.
