Head “North to Alaska” with a 7-night luxury cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s newly refurbished ship, the Jewel. Delight in upscale staterooms featuring floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading out to your private balcony and all meals included onboard. Begin the adventure in Seattle with a guided city tour before traveling to Vancouver, where we board the cruise ship for a week of relaxation and otherworldly scenery. Our route takes us through four spectacular ports of call: Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, and Icy Strait Point. In Skagway, embark on a historic rail journey aboard White Pass & Yukon Route railway to follow the gold rush path through remote areas that are otherwise inaccessible. With a plethora of optional excursions available, from regional cooking lessons to whale watching, there’s time to pursue individual interests at each port. In Disenchantment Bay, sit back and take in the grandeur of North America’s largest tidewater glacier, Hubbard Glacier. Disembarking in Seward, we stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center before continuing into Anchorage. Our trip concludes with a Farewell Lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center.

Day 1 : Fly to Seattle
We have accommodations in suburban Seattle this evening.
Day 2 : Tour Seattle
After breakfast we’re off to explore the vibrant “Emerald City” with a guided tour. Soak up the iconic landmarks, rich culture, and intriguing history as we journey throughout this area known as the jewel of the Pacific Northwest. We stop at the Museum of Flight to marvel at one of the biggest air and space collections in the country and enjoy an included lunch. Take the remainder of the evening at leisure.
Day 3 : Board the Norwegian Spirit
This morning we enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing to Vancouver, Canada. We board our cruise ship, Norwegian Cruise Line’s newly remodeled and luxurious Spirit. Our rooms are beautifully appointed and feature floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading out to a private balcony. All meals are included onboard, beginning with today’s lunch. Your Tour Director will host dinner on several evenings, allowing fellow travelers to get to know one another.
Day 4 : Day at Sea
Today is the perfect opportunity to become acquainted with all the ship’s fabulous amenities as we have a full day at sea. Delight your taste buds with a wide variety of culinary options, attend a comedy show inside Stardust Theatre, listen to a live musical performance, try your luck at their award-winning casino, pamper yourself with a spa treatment, or simply soak up peaceful, breathtaking views with a cocktail on your private balcony.
Day 5 : Sitka
This charming community is both historically and culturally significant. It was in Sitka that the contract of sale was signed, transferring Alaska from Russia to the U.S. Take an excursion to explore wildlife or the history of this former Russian territory. Visit the Alaska Raptor Center, where they rescue and rehabilitate birds. The Sitka National Historical Park, the 1804 battlefield featuring totem-lined trails, cultural exhibits, and Alaska Native artisans demonstrating totemic art is another option. “Fortress of the Bears,” offers a unique opportunity to get within 25 feet of Alaskan brown and black bears.
Day 6 : Juneau
Today’s port of call is Alaska’s capital, Juneau. This city can only be reached by air or sea due to its natural setting between the waters of Gastineau Channel, coastal mountains, and forest. Take this opportunity to pursue individual explorations such as a self-guided walking tour of the downtown area or an optional excursion to soak up the breathtaking sights, including Mendenhall Glacier.
Day 7 : Skagway
Step back in history today as we dock in Skagway, once a booming town serving thousands of stampeders during the Klondike Gold Rush. Nestled within the St. Elias Mountains, this area has a plethora of beautiful scenery and intriguing history for you to discover. Enjoy an included shore excursion aboard the White Pass and Yukon Route railway. This historic journey follows the gold rush path through remote areas with incredible panoramas of glaciers, mountains, and waterfalls. There is also time for a walk into town to tour the Skagway Museum & Archives, visit the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park Visitor Center, or venture on a scenic bike ride.
Day 8 : Icy Strait Point
Experience “wild Alaska” in Icy Strait Point, where the wildlife outnumbers the human population. This is the only port of call in the entire state that is privately owned, allowing all tourism profits to support this town and the indigenous people that have called it home for thousands of years. You may choose to take a short walk to the Historic Museum & Cannery to shop local crafts, learn about the Huna Tlingit culture, and indulge in fresh fish and chips. You can also purchase one of the many optional excursions including whale watching, cooking lessons, a Jeep adventure, and more.
Day 9 : Hubbard Glacier
Get your camera ready as we cruise into Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve today to view North America’s largest tidewater glacier and one of Alaska’s most iconic natural wonders, Hubbard Glacier. Enjoy up-close views as we watch this highly active glacier calve, sending large pieces of ice into the waters. We may also see harbor seals resting on the broken ice chunks, along with other fantastic wildlife!
Day 10 : Disembark & Anchorage
We disembark the ship in Seward this morning and board our comfortable motorcoach for a relaxing drive to Anchorage. En route, we stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to take a stroll through the sanctuary and come face-to-face with majestic wildlife. Upon arriving in Anchorage, we gather at Bridge Seafood to enjoy a delicious Farewell Lunch with fellow travelers to celebrate our Alaskan adventure. We then pay a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center to immerse ourselves in the culture of Alaska’s indigenous people and learn more about their history. This evening we head home on an overnight flight.
Day 11 : Arrive Home
We return home with fond memories of our time in the Last Frontier.
Our adventure begins with a flight to Seattle, our home for the next two evenings.
After breakfast we’re off to explore the vibrant “Emerald City” with a guided tour. Soak up iconic landmarks, rich culture, and intriguing history with attractions like Pioneer Square and the Seattle Waterfront. We stop at the Museum of Flight to marvel at dozens of exhibits with thousands of artifacts at the world’s largest independent, non-profit air and space museum. The remainder of the evening is at leisure.

We dock in Ketchikan today, the Salmon Fishing Capital of the World. Immerse yourself in this charming port’s rich Alaska Native culture, grab a photo by the iconic “Welcome to Ketchikan” sign, browse the colorful shops along historic Creek Street, or choose one of the many optional excursions offered by Norwegian Cruise Line.
