Day 1 : To Michigan
We get acquainted with our fellow travelers today as we make our way through the Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana countryside. Tonight we stay in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Day 2 : Niagara Falls
Crossing the border into Canada this morning, we travel through one of the most fertile areas of Ontario known for its rolling orchards of wine grapes, cherries, apples and peaches. We arrive in Niagara Falls and here we stay for three pleasant nights.
Day 3 : Niagara City Tour
An expert local guide joins us for a private tour of the Niagara Falls area. We drive along the colorfully planted Niagara Parkway and visit the unique Floral Clock inspired by the floral clock in Edinburgh, Scotland. The clock’s 40-foot diameter floral face is changed twice a year to feature seasonal blooms. We visit the Welland Canal, a man-made detour for ships to bypass Niagara Falls. Then we depart for Niagara Parks’ Journey Behind the Falls, where elevators enable us to descend to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Here you can walk through tunnels behind and under the thundering cascades for a unique viewing experience. Next we head downstream of the falls to experience Niagara Parks’ White Water Walk where viewing platforms enrich a leisurely stroll along the Niagara River as it courses through marvelous whitewater rapids. We return to our hotel with time to relax and freshen up before an evening of independent exploration.
Day 4 : Cruise to the Falls
This morning we embark on a Hornblower Niagara Cruises tour through the Niagara Gorge while viewing the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Experience the thunderous power, roar, and mist of the magnificent Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Your captain will get you as close as possible to the breathtaking flow of water for the thrill of a lifetime! Later, experience the IMAX® Theatre presentation Niagara: Legends of Adventure presented on Canada’s largest movie screen soaring six stories high! Witness famous moments in the history of Niagara Falls and learn about the daredevils who challenged the falls. Lunch today is a treat in the revolving restaurant atop Skylon Tower, 775 feet above Niagara Falls! Enjoy marvelous views of the falls and surrounding area while dining on delicious food. The afternoon allows a few hours at leisure. This is a great time to explore nearby attractions and entertainment such as ziplining or a helicopter excursion. Enjoy a Las Vegas-style illusion spectacle and a three-course meal at the Greg Frewin Dinner Theatre. Then join your Tour Director to see the spectacular nightly illumination of the falls.
Day 5 : Farewell Dinner
Today we depart the Niagara Falls area and return to the United States, crossing through Buffalo, New York. Late afternoon we arrive in the South Bend, Indiana area for a Holiday Vacations Farewell Dinner.
Day 6 : Fond Memories
Continuing homeward, we say our goodbyes to those who have shared our travel adventures.
