Day 1 : Fly to Honolulu
We fly to the capital city of Hawaii and receive a friendly, traditional flower lei greeting. We then check in to the beautiful Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for three nights, each room featuring a private balcony.
Day 2 : Family-Owned Farms
We begin our day driving to Kahuku Farms, stopping at the Dole Plantation Visitor Center along the way to see how a small fruit stand has expanded into a world-famous pineapple business. Arriving at the farm just in time for lunch, enjoy a locally sourced meal at the Farm Café before our Grand Tour. Learn how the family has sustainably harvested the freshest local produce for over 100 years as we take a wagon ride through the fields, taste seasonal fruits, and visit the cacao orchard to indulge in farm grown chocolate. Afterwards, we savor more sweets at 21 Degrees Estate Cacao Farm in Kaneohe, the windward side of Oahu. This veteran and family-owned boutique farm showcases how to grow the best cacao in the surroundings of beautiful native trees and tropical flowers. Later, we return to our hotel for a fantastic Welcome Dinner.
Day 3 : Leisure Day on Oahu
Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel this morning, then today is yours to explore your interests on the island. Take a short stroll from your hotel room to relax on famous Waikiki Beach, go for a dip in the pristine swimming pool, hike nearby Diamond Head, or visit the Honolulu Zoo. You may also select an optional excursion such as sampling the local Hawaiian cuisine on a food tour, visiting Pearl Harbor National Memorial, or exploring the beautiful ocean while sailing on a catamaran.
Day 4 : Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Our morning begins with a flight to Hilo on Hawaii’s Big Island. After a wonderful lunch just outside of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, we drive inside for a stop at the visitor center and pause along the way to appreciate the dramatic overlooks. Admire the unique landscape of volcanic craters, dried lava flows, and steam vents. We then travel to our home for the next three evenings, near Kamakahonu Beach.
Day 5 : Coffee & Vanilla Farms
We visit Kona Joe Coffee in Kealakekua this morning for an intriguing tour of the farm and processing facilities. Marvel at the century-old Arabica coffee trees as our host shares more about their hand-picking process and trellis growing technique before we delight our senses with fresh roasts. Following our included lunch at a local restaurant, we are off to discover hand-grown vanilla plants at The Vanillerie. Enjoy an exclusive tour to see, taste, and feel the vanilla while learning the fascinating history of this orchard. Afterwards, we have time to shop the various locally made products and savor a scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream!
Day 6 : Leisure Day on the Big Island
Today is yours to explore the Big Island on your own. You may choose to tour Kona Brewery, swim with manta rays, go flightseeing for an aerial view of the volcanoes, shop and dine in historic Kailua-Kona Village, or simply relax on your private lanai at the hotel. An optional Snorkel & Sail Adventure is also available, featuring a continental breakfast before you sail into the coral gardens of Kealakekua Bay to see tropical fish and maybe even dolphins or whales!
Day 7 : Maui Tea Farm
This morning we fly to Kahului on Maui, nicknamed the Valley Isle for the valleys carved into its mountains. We stop by Café O’Lei at the Mill House for an included lunch, then continue our travels to Maui Tea Farm in Kula. Nestled within the slopes of Hawaii’s third-largest volcano, near Haleakala National Park, this organic farm grows fine loose-leaf teas and specialty tisanes among coffee, citrus, olive trees, and exotic botanicals. Taste their award-winning tea, from farm to cup, and learn more about this charming farm while taking in the breathtaking surroundings. Later, we arrive at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa for three incredible nights. Enjoy a private balcony on this expansive property featuring forty oceanfront acres along Ka’anapali Beach, lavish swimming pools, shopping, and multiple dining options.
Day 8 : Leisure Day on Maui
Wake up early to watch the sunrise from the summit of Haleakala, House of the Sun, or begin your leisure day with a morning of rest. Savor a delicious breakfast buffet, included at the resort’s Swan Court, then venture out to discover all that Maui has to offer. Take a short stroll from the hotel to Whalers Village, an inviting area of shops, dining, and live entertainment, or head down to the beach for sunshine and relaxation. You may also choose to purchase an optional excursion, like the winding Road to Hana, or an incredible sunset dinner cruise in November.
Day 9 : Traditional Luau
Enjoy another day to explore as you wish. Relax, shop for souvenirs, or select another optional excursion such as a whale watching cruise in February. Tonight, we celebrate Hawaiian style at the Drums of the Pacific luau and Polynesian Show. Indulge in tropical drinks and the exotic flavors of native Hawaiian cuisine. Our evening ends with traditional music, dancing, and chants from islands across the South Pacific, featuring a thrilling fire knife finale!
Day 10 : Maui Pineapple & Hali’imaile Distilling Co.
After a leisurely morning, we depart the hotel for a Farewell Lunch in Makawao with our new friends to commemorate this special Hawaiian adventure. We then visit Maui Gold Pineapple Farm for an immersive experience of learning their growing cycle and cultivation techniques. Each guest will receive a complimentary pineapple to bring home, already packaged for airport transport! A short stroll next door brings us to Hali’imaile Distilling Company. Hear how they create “Hawaii in a bottle” using fresh pineapple and other local ingredients, then sample some of their authentic Hawaiian spirits in the tasting room. Later, we board our overnight flight back home.
Day 11 : Arrive Home
A hui hou (until we meet again).
